Dr. Bruera is the Chair of the Department of Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Medicine at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Prior to joining the faculty at M. D. Anderson, Dr. Bruera led the development of the Division of Palliative Care Medicine at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He attended medical school at The National University of Rosario and trained in medical oncology in Argentina. He has a strong interest in the global development of palliative care and has collaborated for many years with the World Health Organization/Pan American Health Organization. |
